The mandolin is a combination of a slicer and a chef's knife. It is a very practical kitchen utensil that can cut fruit and vegetables by changing the 3 blades and adjusting their thickness. The straight steel blade is fixed on the main plate allowing you to cut the vegetables into straight or wavy sticks. The three sets of blades, used with the adjustment of the handle under the main plate, can produce different cuts such as washers, strips and julienne.
